029/366 ~ January 29 ~ Puffy, pink cloud as the sun rises this morning

030/366 ~ January 30 ~ Songbirds were frozen on the feeders today, no movement at all.  A glance to the top of the trees behind us showed the reason.  The hawk was almost as still as the little birds.  Soon after this picture, he flew away for better hunting and the songbirds disappeared as well.  This photo really stretched the limits of my zoom.

001/366 ~ January 1 ~ Sunrise on the first day of a new year

As the year came to a close, I have to admit it became a bit of chore and I gave some thought to not continuing.  Taking a look back at 2011′s photos was such fun I realized I didn’t really want to stop.

This year, pictures for each week will be collected and posted on Sundays.  I hope you’ll visit often and maybe leave a comment when you see something you like.  I’m looking forward to seeing what the camera can catch in 2012.
